Box

A CrossFit gym where members train together.

Box Jump

Jumping onto an elevated platform from the ground.

Burpee

A full-body movement combining a squat, plank, push-up, and jump.

Butterfly Pull-Up

A fast, cyclical kipping pull-up used for high reps.

Chipper

A long workout you chip away at, doing each movement once for high reps.

Clean and Jerk

An Olympic lift that brings a barbell from the floor to overhead in two phases.

Double-Under

A jump rope skill where the rope passes twice per jump.

For Time

A workout scored by how quickly you finish it.

Handstand Push-Up

A vertical push-up performed upside down against a wall.

Hero WOD

A challenging benchmark workout named to honor fallen service members.

Kettlebell Swing

A hip-hinge movement swinging a kettlebell to chest or overhead height.

Kipping Pull-Up

A pull-up using a hip swing to generate momentum.

Metcon

Muscle-Up

Transitioning from a pull-up to a dip above the bar or rings.

Overhead Squat

A squat performed with the barbell locked out overhead.

Pistol Squat

Power Clean

Ring Dip

A dip performed on gymnastic rings for added instability.

Rope Climb

Ascending a vertical rope using arms and legs.

Rounds for Time (RFT)

Completing set rounds of exercises as fast as possible.

RX (As Prescribed)

Completing a workout exactly as written, with prescribed weights and standards.

Scaled

A modified version of a workout adjusted to ability.

Snatch

An Olympic lift moving a barbell from floor to overhead in one motion.

Sumo Deadlift High Pull

A wide-stance deadlift pulling the bar up to the chin.

Thruster

A front squat flowing directly into an overhead press.

Toes-to-Bar

Hanging from a bar and bringing the toes up to touch it.

Wall Ball

A squat-to-throw movement against a target on a wall.

Wall Walk

Walking the feet up a wall into a handstand and back down.
