How do you do the hanging leg raise?

Breathing & tempo: Exhale as you curl your legs and pelvis up, inhale as you lower under control. Use roughly a 1–1–3 tempo (1s up, 1s pause, 3s down) — the slow lowering phase is where strict form tends to break down.

How should you warm up for the hanging leg raise?

Warm up grip and shoulders before loading your abs: a set of dead hangs (20–30 seconds), a few scapular pull-ups, and 1–2 easy sets of hanging knee raises. This keeps grip and shoulder fatigue from cutting your ab-focused set short.
