Why do training, protein and sleep matter more than any supplement?

What protects your testosterone is boring: sleep, a healthy bodyfat range, lifting, and treating a diagnosed deficiency with a doctor.
Glutamine. Popular for years, but in healthy, well-fed lifters it has no meaningful effect on muscle mass or recovery. Your body makes plenty, and your food supplies more. Save the money.
How do you know a supplement is safe and legit?
Because supplements are loosely regulated, the label is a claim, not a guarantee. What is in the tub, and whether it is contaminated with a banned substance, is not verified by any government before sale. Third-party certification — NSF Certified for Sport or Informed Sport — is the only reliable proof a product contains what it says and nothing it should not.
This matters most if you get drug-tested in any sport at any level, because a contaminated supplement can cost you a season even when you never intended to cheat. Independent testing has repeatedly turned up products spiked with undeclared stimulants or steroid precursors, often hidden inside proprietary blends.
